Event Attendee Data Enrichment

This Journey helps you turn raw event participation data into high-intent, sales-ready opportunities.

Updated over 2 months ago

Event Lead Lists Are Incomplete, Unstructured, and Time-Sensitive-

  1. Fragmented Inputs: Event attendee and sponsorship data is often messy β€” usually just a list of email addresses with no names, titles, or company info. Tapistro intelligently maps each email to retrieve the associated person’s name, company, domain, and LinkedIn URL. From there, it enriches both contact and company-level data using 20+ datapoints.

  2. Time-Sensitive GTM: The pre event and post-event outreach has a narrow window to convert interest into pipeline. Tapistro enables fast GTM activation by delivering a cleaned, enriched, sales-ready list within a day.

Events Data Import (CSV, Booth Scans, Sponsor Lists)
β€‹πŸ“„ STEP 1: CREATE A SOURCE:

For every Journey a Source is required to start the Journey. Here, you create the source basis the Journey use case you want to run in Tapistro.

Upload a CSV of attendees, booth scans, or sponsorship leads into Tapistro.
Please reach out to Tapistro team via our support query button (top right on the UI) to ask for assistance in uploads.

Tapistro performs fuzzy matching to identify and consolidate person-level records, deduplicates entries, and cleans the data.

πŸ”— STEP 2: Create a Journey

  1. Log into Tapistro, go to the Journeys page, and select New Journey from the upper-right area.

  2. In the Journey Canvas, provide a relevant name for your journey.

  3. From the Type select Source Ingest.

  4. From the Source ID bar, select the source you want to work with i.e the Event data CSV Upload Source created in step 1.

  5. Tapistro ingests unstructured event data (names, emails, titles, companies, etc.) and prepares it for enrichment.

🧠 Objective: Convert raw event data into a structured, ingestible format for processing.
See how to make Sources here.

πŸ” STEP 2: SOURCE DISCOVERY:
Add a node and select Source Discovery from the type list.
Tapistro Identifies Person & Company-Level Data by Source Discovery

  • Individual attendee identity (name, role, LinkedIn, email, etc.)

  • Associated company profile (name, domain, HQ, size, industry, etc.)

🧠 Objective: Unify person and company records from fragmented data to establish attribution and context.

🧩 STEP 3
Enrich Contacts & Companies

Tapistro enriches both people and companies using 20+ datapoints:

  • Verified emails & phone numbers

  • LinkedIn URLs

  • Company revenue, tech stack, headcount

  • HQ location & domain

  1. Config Type: Select Account Profile Enrichment.

  2. Enrichment Source: Choose the Account Profile Enrichment Source from the available dropdown list for eg: TheSwarm, TheirStack and others.

Use case tip: Reach from raw event attendees emails in a list to Account domain, Location, title and contact level details. Build profile view for each account and person in Tapistro.

🧠 Objective: Build sales-ready profiles with actionable insights for targeting.

🧹 STEP 4
Match & Clean with CRM

Run enriched leads through your CRM to:

  • Identify existing contacts or customers

  • Suppress competitors/internal teams

  • Flag duplicates or inactive records

Filter expressions for checking against CRM such as HubSpot could look like:
"payload->> 'hubspotlistId:X' IS NULL AND payload->> 'hubspotlistId:Y' IS NULL"
where X,Y could be the list ID in your CRM.

🧠 Objective: Focus only on net-new, ICP-fit, in-market opportunities.

See how to make CRM connections here.

🧩 STEP 5
Buying Group Expansion

Using company-level context, Tapistro identifies additional decision-makers:

  • Discover other roles/titles in the account

  • Segment them by seniority or department

  • Add to engagement lists

Select the right persona when using the Persona Id box and choose a Person Search provider.

🧠 Objective: Enable multi-threading from a single contact to full buying committee.

πŸš€ STEP 6
