Create Destinations to store information of outreach or enrichment of a person or account

Updated over a month ago

In Tapistro, at the end of a Journey, information about a person or an account may be enriched in a database, added to a campaign, alerted to a chat, or exported to an offline CSV file. A few examples are:

  • Using your Tapistro journey, you identified a few leads and recorded the data in your CRM database or exported to a CSV file, for the sales team to take further action.

  • Using the signals generated from the attendees of your webinar, you enrich their contact information and activate a lead list in a campaign using an outbound tool that you've connected to Tapistro.

  • Using engagements on your website, you alert your sales team about hot leads in the preferred chat channels within your organization.

In Tapistro, you use Destinations to send the information gathered and data enriched in online systems or offline files at the end of a Journey. In the Destinations UI, you can accomplish the following tasks:

  • Search the full or partial name of a destination.

  • Copy an existing destination to use it as a template to create a new destination. Hover your pointer over the name of an existing destination, and click the copy icon to copy the destination. Change the name and properties and click Save Destination.

  • Delete an existing destination. Hover your pointer over the name of a destination and click the trash can icon to delete it. Ensure that the destination isn't used in any journey when you delete it.

Create a new Destination

To create a Destination, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Tapistro UI, and select Destinations from the left sidebar.

  2. Click New Destination. Alternatively, you can hover the pointer over the name of an existing destination and click the pencil icon to edit it.

  3. Enter a logical Name that is only used for the identification of the Destination in your account.

  4. Select the Type of destination from the menu. See the following list of supported destinations. We support Person data and Account data destinations to record the information of either entity.

  5. The default Status of all new destinations is active.

  6. Based on the type of destination selected, you may need to provide additional information about the destination. Enter the required information and click Save destination. For example, if you want some information posted to your Slack channel, then you must provide the Slack channel name, message title, and similar information in the configuration.

Filter the list of destinations

To find a required destination, use a filter on the list of existing destinations. You can choose from the following filtering methods:

  • Search the full or partial name of a destination.

  • Click the filter icon and select Active or Inactive for the Status.

  • Click the filter icon and select a Type of destination from the available list. This list includes all the types of destinations that exist in your account. You select this type when creating a destination.
