A Persona tells Tapistro which people to find at each account. A Persona is made of title groups, and each group has its own cap on how many people it can return. You also set a cap for the whole account.
The base prompt
Create a Tapistro persona named "[your name for this persona]".
Description: [one line on who this persona is for].
Locations: [US, CA].
Exclude titles containing: [intern, assistant, SDR, account executive].
Max [N] people per account in total.
Title group 1: "[group name]"
Titles: [list]
Keywords: [list]
Seniority: [c_suite, vp, director]
Departments: [sales, marketing]
Max [N] people from this group.
Title group 2: "[group name]"
...
Email: valid work email only.
Only include people who started their role in the last [N] days.
Before saving, preview the persona on [domain] using [Apollo, ContactOut].
Build a title group
Each title group needs only one of these four fields: Titles, Keywords, Seniority or Departments. Combine them to narrow the group.
For example, this group has no titles at all and still works:
Title group 1: "Sales leaders"
Seniority: vp, director
Departments: sales
Max 2 people from this group.
Keywords match a person's LinkedIn headline and profile, not only their title. Use them when titles vary a lot, for example "Revenue Operations" and "GTM Systems."
Options
Add any of these lines to the prompt.
Say this | What it does |
"Exclude titles containing..." | Removes false matches across all groups |
"Locations: US, CA" | Finds only people in those countries |
"Use the country from the account field [field]" | Matches each person's location to the account's country. Useful for website visitor Sources. |
"Valid work email only" | Skips people without a verified work email |
"Allow personal email as a fallback" | Uses a personal email when there's no work email |
"Include people without an email" | Keeps people who have no email. Useful for LinkedIn outreach. |
"Started their role in the last [N] days" | Finds new hires only |
Accepted values
Use these exact values for Seniority and Departments.

Copy a shared Persona instead of editing it
One Persona can power many Journeys. When you update a Persona, the update replaces the whole record, and the change applies everywhere the Persona is used.
To make a variation without changing the original, ask Claude to copy it:
Copy the persona "[name]" and change [what you want different].
