LinkedIn Network Overlap in Journeys

Find common connections from your network to do warm introductions instead of cold outreach.

You can accomplish many use cases or GTM outcomes by using steps (or nodes) in a Journey. One specific node Account Job Enrichment is used to identify open job postings at target accounts.

Job openings at a company indicate that active initiatives are ongoing, budget allocation is available for hiring, or in some cases a company is going through attrition or a transformation. For example, a company hiring for a RevOps Leader may indicate an initiative to improve pipeline visibility or fix broken GTM processes.

The following are the instructions to create, example of impact of, and tips for steps that you use to create your journey.

Select LinkedIn Network Overlap in the Type field. The feature identifies first-level connections ('overlaps') between,

  • LinkedIn profiles that you provide, say your team members

  • Target accounts or persons in a journey.

It enriches records with relationship data to support warm introductions instead of cold outreach.

To use this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Create a Source containing LinkedIn URLs, such as those for your network or team members.

  2. Use the LinkedIn Network Overlap type in a Journey step.

  3. In the step, provide the Source created above.

  4. Complete the journey creations and execute it. Let this feature automatically evaluate overlaps with accounts or persons ingested or discovered in the journey.

  5. Check the following fields added to each account or person details, after journey completion:

    1. Connector Name

    2. Shared Company

    3. Connection Strength

    4. Connector LinkedIn URL

    5. Overlap Duration (months)

    6. Access and use

It is available on the account or person record in the journey pipeline and runs continuously as part of the journey step. Use this feature to request introductions and improve conversion rates by doing warm outreach.

Note: It typically takes a day to complete the relationship mapping and for the results to appear in a Journey.
