Creating a HubSpot Connection in Tapistro

How to create a HubSpot connection in Tapistro and use it in a GTM Journey

Updated over a month ago

HubSpot is a CRM platform used to manage marketing, sales, and service workflows. Tapistro integrates directly with HubSpot to bring your CRM data into your GTM workflows and push enriched insights back into HubSpot.

Connection Overview

Authentication Method: OAuth 2.0
Connection Type: CRM, Channel

Connecting HubSpot allows Tapistro to act as both a source (pull data from HubSpot) and a destination (push updates back to HubSpot).

What Tapistro Imports from HubSpot

1. HubSpot CRM Objects

Tapistro can import the core CRM objects used across GTM teams:

  • Contacts

  • Companies

  • Deals

As you select the object type, you can also request what properties you want the Tapistro system to fetch and store. The system automatically maps and brings the name and domain.

Below is an example of HubSpot Object properties fetched by Tapistro:
For example requested properties can be -

number of employees

linkedin_company_page

country

industry

annualrevenue

city

A user could also request custom properties created by them in HubSpot.

Once imported, users can orchestrate workflows inside Tapistro - such as scoring, routing, enrichment, ICP matching - and send updates back to HubSpot.

Supported Actions:

  • Read object properties

  • Update object properties in HubSpot

  • Trigger workflows based on CRM changes

  • Execute Tapistro signals, scoring, alerts, Journey automations

2. HubSpot Marketing Events

Tapistro can also pull Marketing Event data created inside the HubSpot Marketing Hub.
These may include:

  • Webinar registrations & attendance

  • Virtual events

  • Any marketing event tracked via HubSpot

This data becomes available inside Tapistro for segmentation, scoring, and persona/intent identification workflows.

How Tapistro Interacts With HubSpot

As a Source (Data Ingest → Tapistro)

Tapistro periodically fetches:

  • Object properties

  • Associations (company–contact, deal–company, etc.)

  • Custom fields created in HubSpot

This allows Tapistro pipelines to compute signals and insights.

As a Destination (Sync Back → HubSpot)

Tapistro can push updated fields back to HubSpot, such as:

  • Scoring fields (e.g., Tapistro Score)

  • Buyer persona tags

  • Intent/engagement signals

  • ICP fit fields

  • Enriched attributes

  • Any custom fields configured for sync

Sync behavior is controlled by user-defined settings inside Tapistro (one-way, selective overrides, sync frequency, etc.).
